If you're receiving the error message “AAE error 6001” in Pro Tools when trying to select your device as the playback engine, please close Pro Tools and navigate to:

1. Control Panel > Sound > Playback > Right-click your interface > Properties > Advanced

2. Change the sample rate to match the sample rate of your session > click apply > click OK.

3. Now re-open Pro Tools, it should run as expected.
