Rest assured the functionality of the device is not affected by this UPN issue. This only prevents the initial stage of the Easy Start process from initialising, which is primarily for registering the device to your account.
Your device's UPN (often referred to as the serial number) can be found on the bottom or back of your device. It is also on the box, usually beneath the barcode. You will need this to register your device manually in the event the UPN is not valid. Registering the device gives you access to all the bundled software included with your device.
Login to your Focusrite/Novation account and go to the following page to manually register the device to your account: Click here to register a new product to your account
