Applies to Bitwig and all Focusrite USB audio Interfaces
This guide walks you through how to setup your Focusrite audio interface in Bitwig, setup an audio track for recording, and start recording. To learn more about how to use Bitwig, see Bitwigs Help Centre:
Windows
Please make sure you've installed the Focusrite audio driver and control software before going through these steps. If you haven't installed the Focusrite audio driver or control software, download them from here.
- Open Bitwig Studio.
- Click File → Settings → Audio.
- Set Driver Model to ASIO.
- Set Selected Device(s) to Focusrite USB ASIO.

macOS
- Open Bitwig Studio.
- Click File → Settings → Audio.
- Set Driver Model to macOS Audio.
- Set Selected Device(s) to the name of your audio interface (e.g. Scarlett Solo 4th Gen).

How to set up an audio track and record
- Open Bitwig Studio.
- Select New Project.
- Select Audio 2 and head to the input selector for the channel. This is named Input 1/2 by default. Click and select the name of your audio interface or Focusrite USB → Input 1.
- Select the Input Arm button to record arm your track.
- Press Record and Play on Bitwigs transport controls to start recording.
