Getting Started with Logic Pro

- Open Logic Pro.
- Select Empty Project to create a new Logic Project.

Select Audio as the track type, and click Create.
- Click Logic Pro > Settings > Audio to open the Audio preferences.
- Set the Output Device and Input Device to your interface, and click Apply, and close the Settings window.

Select the first track, usually called 'Audio 1', and select the input you're going to record from the interface.
- To enable the track to be recorded, click the Record Enable button on the track (R)
- To listen to your incoming audio, click the Input Monitoring button (I)

To start recording, click the Record button on Logic's transport controls.

Select the
button to add a new track. (⌥⌘N is the keyboard shortcut).

Enter the number of tracks you wish to create, ensuring the Audio option is selected. Click Create to create the tracks.

Select one of the newly created tracks, and select the input you would like to record from your interface. Repeat this for each track created.
- Click Record Arm for each track you would like to record.
- To listen to your incoming audio, click the Input Monitoring button (I)
- Click the Record button on Logic's transport controls to start recording.
