Applies to: Scarlett 3rd Gen, All Clarett Interfaces, Scarlett 2nd Gen (6i6, 18i8, 18i20)
We are aware of an issue with macOS Sequoia that prevents the above interfaces from appearing as an audio device or connecting to Focusrite Control. You may find that the issue can be temporarily resolved by disconnecting and reconnecting the interface.
We're actively investigating this issue, however, the following workaround should resolve the problem:
- Open Finder and select GO > Go to Folder and enter /Library/LaunchDaemons
- Find com.focusrite.ControlServer.plist and delete this file and delete from the trash/bin
- Open Finder > Applications and Right-click on Focusrite Control and go to: Show Package Contents > Contents > Library > LoginItems and you should see FocusriteControlServer - keep this open.
- Go to System Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions and then drag the FocusriteControlServer into the Login Items.
- Restart the mac to check this now works.
If you are using another version of macOS, and you see the No Hardware Connected or Detected message in Focusrite Control, please see this troubleshooting article - No Hardware Connected or No Hardware Detected
