Focusrite Notifier is an application that is bundled with the Focusrite audio driver on Windows — replacing the ASIO Control Panel that was bundled with older driver versions.
The application runs on the taskbar in the system tray, next to the clock. It allows you to change the buffer size and sample rate of your device, as well as accessing some other features. When the sample rate, buffer size, or clock source changes, it displays a notification in the Notification Center.
If you can't find the Focusrite Notifier icon on your taskbar in the system tray, check whether it's currently hidden by pressing the Show hidden icons arrow. You can drag it out of the hidden icons and on to the main system tray so it will appear there permanently.
To toggle notifications on or off, click the Focusrite Notifier icon and tick or untick Show Notifications.
To change the sample rate or buffer size, click the Focusrite Notifier icon and select your device settings. From here you can adjust the sample rate, buffer size and clock source (on units with external clocking options).
If you still can't find the Focusrite Notifier icon, it's likely that you're running an old version of our driver. If that's the case, you can find the latest version of the driver for your device — or the control software that includes the driver — on our Downloads page.
The driver is included with the following control software: Focusrite Control, Focusrite Control 2, Scarlett Mix Control, RedNet Control and Vocaster Hub.
