Applies to Scarlett Solo, 2i2, 2i4, 4i4, iTrack Solo and Saffire 6 USB 2.0

Many of our larger interfaces feature digital connection options such as S/PDIF, ADAT and word clock. On these devices, it’s possible to change the clock source from the Focusrite Notifier app or the Focusrite Control software.

The smaller bus powered units, including Scarlett Solo and 2i2 (all generations), 2i4 (1st and 2nd Generation), 4i4 (3rd and 4th Generation), iTrack Solo and Saffire 6 USB 2.0, do not feature these digital expansion options, so the clock source cannot be changed — it will show in Focusrite Notifier as ‘Internal’.

Since this is a valid clock source, Focusrite Notifier will display ‘SYNCED’ at all times – this is normal behaviour.
