Applies to: RedNet PCIe card, RedNet PCIeR card
The 'standard' version of Pro Tools will only work with the first 32 inputs and 32 outputs on any interface.
To ensure that the RedNet PCIe card can be used in all versions of Pro Tools we included the ability to change the I/O count of the RedNet PCIe and PCIeR cards so that they can be run in 32-channel, 64-channel, and 128-channel modes.
The lower I/O count of Standard versions of Pro Tools can sometimes not function correctly if a large amount of channels is made available to it on Mac.
To toggle the number of ins and outs that appear from the RedNet PCIe/PCIeR card, you can go to Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup and select the PCIe/PCIeR card on the left. In the centre of the screen, you will see a 'Format' drop-down menu where you can change the I/O count of the device.
Pro Tools HD/HDX systems are not affected by this since the I/O count available exceeds that of the PCIe/PCIeR cards.
