Applies to RedNet Control 2 on macOS.
When you install or update RedNet Control 2, the error message this package is incompatible with this version of macOS can appear if you select the incorrect destination for installation.
You can resolve this issue and allow RedNet Control 2 to install or update by completing the following steps.
1. Close the installer:
- If you see this error message, click Quit to close the installer.
2. Run the installer again:
- If you were originally prompted to update when launching RedNet Control 2, go to Help 🡆 Check for Updates, and the same prompt to update will appear again.
- If you downloaded the installer separately, simply relaunch it.
3. Wait at the Destination Select stage:
- When you reach the Destination Select stage, multiple disks may appear, including two identical copies of your Mac's main drive. These disks may appear greyed out.
- Examining additional disks… will appear beneath the disks. Wait for this message to disappear.
4. Select the disk on the left:
- Once the Examining additional disks… message disappears, both disks should no longer be greyed out.
- Of the two identical disks, select the one on the left.
- Click Continue to proceed with the installation.
5. Complete the installation:
- The installation should now continue as normal, without the error message you saw previously.
