On very rare occasions, you may find that your Scarlett firmware cannot be updated via Focusrite Control 2. Please follow the below steps if that is the case.
- Ensure your Scarlett is connected to your computer's USB port. If your Scarlett is connected via a USB hub, try connecting it directly to a port on your computer instead.
- Try another USB cable in case the one you're using is faulty, ensuring it is less than 2 metres in length
- [2i2, 4i4, 16i16 and 18i16 only] Ensure the USB cable you're connecting to the computer is connected to the port labelled 'USB' on your Scarlett and that it is receiving enough power. More information on power requirements can be found here for 2i2, here for 4i4, and here for 16i16 and 18i16.
