The steps below do not apply to any other interface apart from the ones in the list above
If your Focusrite interface needs a firmware update, it will update when you open the latest version of Focusrite Control 2, with the interface connected.
If your interface does not need a firmware update, your interface already has the latest firmware installed, and you will not be prompted to update.
Focusrite Control 2 will automatically prompt for any updates, which include new firmware versions for your device, along with device drivers and feature updates.
