If your Focusrite interface needs a firmware update, it will update when you open the latest version of Focusrite Control (Focusrite Control 2 for Scarlett 4th Gen units), on a Windows or Mac computer. You need to connect your Focusrite interface to your computer before Focusrite Control will tell you if it needs a firmware update.
When your interface needs a firmware update, a box will appear when you first open Focusrite Control letting you know. Please install the firmware update if Focusrite Control tells you.
If your interface does not need a firmware update your interface already has the latest firmware installed, the dialogue box will not appear.
If you have not already installed Focusrite Control on your computer, you can download and install it from our Downloads page.
