Yes, starting with RedNet Control 2.3, the Red Range  uses RedNet Control 2 instead of Focusrite Control and will not be detected by newer versions of Focusrite Control (the last version of Focusrite Control to support the Red Range is 2.3.4).

At launch, the Red 4Pre/8Pre/16Line used Focusrite Control.

Please note that the Red 4Pre/8Pre/16Line in question must be connected to the computer over Thunderbolt. It's not possible to control a Red interface over Ethernet only.

The Red 8Line was released after this change so only uses RedNet Control 2.
