The RedNet PCIeNX card uses the same Thunderbolt Driver as our Red Range Interfaces so it can be used for WDM playback as well as ASIO on PC. 
PCIeNX can also expose 16 of the transmit and receive channels in pairs using our audio driver to do this please see this article - Exposing WDM Channels for non-ASIO Windows Applications

Applies to: RedNet PCIe and RedNet PCIeR card

The Windows driver for RedNet PCIe/PCIeR card is designed to work with ASIO applications only (e.g. Pro Tools, Cubase, Nuendo).

The RedNet PCIe/PCIeR card will not appear as a standard Playback/Recording device in Windows Sound and there is no supported way of using it with non-ASIO applications (e.g. iTunes/Spotify/Media Player/browser audio).

3rd party solutions (such as ASIO Bridge) may allow users to access the first two inputs/outputs in non-ASIO applications, however, please note that this is not supported by Focusrite.

The above refers to Windows systems only. On Mac, it is possible to select the RedNet PCIe/PCIeR card as the Recording/Playback device for all software.
