Yes. The ISA C8X has eight fixed gain line inputs which you can select for each of the eight analogue input channels, and this completely bypasses the preamp stage.
This signal path means that the line inputs have a direct feed into the ADC [analogue-to-digital converter] and allows for eight identical line level input channels with the best possible specs for dynamic range, harmonic distortion and noise.
Note the signal path for the line inputs is parallel to much of the analogue circuitry, such as the variable gain, impedance, air mode, and the transformer on the ISA preamps.
The 'Insert Send/Return' and 'Console' functions from ISA inputs 1-2 are still available on the Line input signal path. Likewise, the DSP-based Drive is also always available for Line inputs 3-8. Bypassing these gives you an identical signal path across all line inputs. This is useful for matched input recordings and patch bays.
