The FX loop is only in the monitoring section, it can only be heard on the input signal when monitoring via the headphones, this is to allow you to add effects such as reverb to the input signal whilst tracking. This effect will not 'go to tape' as it were and will not affect the main output of the unit.

The Insert and send affects the recorded signal and operate as any other insert would in a recording channel.
