This article describes how to set up your audio interface in Bitwig Studio. You can expand the relevant section below to follow the instructions, depending on whether you are on Windows or Mac.
Windows
When using Bitwig Studio (or any audio software) on Windows, make sure you have enabled microphone access, so the recording software can access the inputs on your audio interface: Windows Microphone Security Access
1. Open Bitwig Studio with your interface connected to your Mac.
2. On the top-left corner of Bitwig Studio, go to: File > Settings > Audio tab.
3. Under Driver Model select ASIO.
4. Under Selected Device(s) select your audio interface (e.g. Focusrite USB ASIO).
You can now start recording in Bitwig Studio using your Focusrite interface as per this Bitwig guide: Recording Clips
Mac
When using Bitwig Studio (or any audio software) on Mac, make sure you have enabled microphone access, so the recording software can access the inputs on your audio interface: Microphone Access Security Setting Mac
1. Open Bitwig Studio with your interface connected to your Mac.
2. On the top-left corner of Bitwig Studio, go to: File > Settings > Audio tab.
3. Under Driver Model select macOS Audio.
4. Under Selected Device(s) select your audio interface (e.g. Scarlett Solo 4th Gen).
