Applies to Fender Studio and all Focusrite USB audio Interfaces
This guide walks you through how to setup your Focusrite audio interface in Fender Studio (previously Studio One), setup an audio track for recording, and start recording. To learn more about how to use Fender Studio, see Fender's Help Centre:
Windows Setup
Please make sure you've installed the Focusrite audio driver and control software before going through these steps. If you haven't installed the Focusrite audio driver or control software, download them from here.
- Open Fender Studio.
- Click Studio Pro > Options > Audio Setup.
- Set the Audio Device as Focusrite USB, and untick Release audio device in background.
- Click Apply and OK.
macOS Setup
- Open Fender Studio.
- Click Studio Pro > Preferences > Audio Setup.
- Set the Playback Device and Recording Device to the name of your interface, ie: Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen.
- Click Apply and OK.
How to setup an audio track and record
- Click New... and name your session. Click OK.
- Click Track > Add Audio Track (mono).
- Select the input you'd like to record, on the new track. Here, we're recording the first input, labelled Input L - Input 1.
- Click Record Arm to prepare the track for recording. You should see metering on the track.
- Click Record in Studio Pro's transport.
