Applies to Hindenburg PRO and all Focusrite USB audio interfaces
We've included a six month trial of Hindenburg PRO with the purchase of a Vocaster interface. If you have registered a Vocaster, you can redeem the Hindenburg PRO trial from the My Software tab of your Focusrite account here.
This guide walks you through how to setup your Focusrite audio interface in Hindenburg PRO, setup an audio track for recording, and start recording. To learn more about how to use Hindenburg Pro, see Hindenburg's Knowledge Base:
Windows
Please make sure you've installed the Focusrite audio driver and control software before going through these steps. If you haven't installed the Focusrite audio driver or control software, download them from here.
- Open Hindenburg Pro on your computer.
- In the top menu bar, click Tools > Options... > Audio
- In the Audio Options, ensure the ASIO tickbox is ticked.
- Set the playback device to Vocaster Two or the name of the interface you're using. This also sets the record device.
- Click Ok.
macOS
- Open Hindenburg Pro on your computer.
- In the top menu bar, click Hindenburg PRO > Settings... > Audio.
- Set the playback device to Vocaster Two USB or the name of the interface you're using.
- Set the record device to Vocaster Two USB or the name of the interface you're using.
- Click Ok.
How to setup an audio track to record
- By default, Hindenburg Pro will have 4 tracks setup. Using the dropdown menu on a channel, select the audio input used on your interface. On Vocaster One, Input 5 is the Host Microphone. On Vocaster Two, Input 5 is the Host Microphone and Input 6 is the Guest Microphone.
Set the input to Mono if you are recording with a single microphone such as the Host or Guest microphone.
Set the input to Stereo if you are recording the Show Mix or Loopback.
- Click the record enable button
(off) to enable the track for recording
(on).
- Click the Record
button in Hindenburg PRO's Transport to start recording.
