No Hardware Connected Focusrite Control on Mac

*Applies to Scarlett 2nd Gen 6i6 and above, Scarlett 3rd Gen, and Clarett TB/USB models*

Some instances when connecting your interface, you may be presented with a 'No Hardware Connected' message after opening Focusrite Control.

To resolve this, let’s manually start the Focusrite Control server.

To do so go to:

Finder > Applications > Right click the Focusrite Control Icon > Show Package Contents > Contents > Library > LoginItems > Double click 'FocusriteControlServer'.

You should now see Focusrite Control as being connected to your interface.

To save this,

System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Items

Now drag that 'FocusriteControlServer' file that you clicked in the Focusrite Control package contents, to the Login items section.
