This issue has been resolved in Focusrite Control 2 1.447. If you still experience issues after updating, please try the below steps before getting in touch.
We’re aware of an issue affecting the latest update of Focusrite Control 2 on certain Windows systems, which may prevent the application from running. In some cases, you might encounter the following error message:
We’ll actively address this issue in an upcoming software update. In the meantime, you can resolve it by uninstalling 'Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) - 14.36.32532.0' and installing the latest version from here. Follow the steps below to complete the process:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps
- Locate the following item: 'Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) - 14.36.32532.0.'
- Click the three-dot menu (...) next to the packages name and select 'Uninstall'.
- Confirm by clicking Uninstall again in the pop-up dialog.
- Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the uninstallation wizard
- Once the uninstallation is complete, restart your computer to ensure all changes are applied.
- Install the latest version of the Microsoft Redistributable.
