This issue has been resolved in Focusrite Control 2 1.447. If you still experience issues after updating, please try the below steps before getting in touch.

Focusrite Control 2 is currently not supported on ARM-based Windows computers, therefore the app will not open on ARM-based systems. See this artcile for reference: Focusrite compatibility with ARM processors

We’re aware of an issue affecting the latest update of Focusrite Control 2 on certain Intel/AMD-based Windows systems, which may prevent the application from running. In some cases, you might encounter the following error message:

We’ll actively address this issue in an upcoming software update. In the meantime, you can resolve it by uninstalling 'Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) - 14.36.32532.0' and installing the latest version from here. Follow the steps below to complete the process:

1. Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps
2. Locate the following item: 'Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) - 14.36.32532.0.'
3. Click the three-dot menu (...) next to the package's name and select 'Uninstall'.
4. Confirm by clicking 'Uninstall' again in the pop-up dialog.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the uninstallation wizard
6. Once the uninstallation is complete, restart your computer to ensure all changes are applied.
7. Install the latest version of the Microsoft Redistributable.
