My compounder gets very hot. Is this a problem?

This applies to the Platinum Compunder

This is not a problem - the Compounder is a class A device and so will generate heat. With any class A equipment it is important not to cover any of the air vents and it is always advisable to leave 1U space above if racked to allow heat to dissipate, especially if there is a whole rack of class A equipment.
