My Tape App has no Input and won't record.

This applies to the Tape App

If your Input lights are lighting up and you hear audio but your recording is flat you may have selected "No" when you first loaded Tape and were asked for access to the Microphone.

This prevents not only access to the Internal Microphone, but any Input device connected to the iPad.

To fix this please go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone > make sure the Slider for the Tape App is turned on.
