The phantom power on some Focusrite products is switched on in banks of two or four. If you are recording with condenser mics that require phantom power, any dynamic mics (that do not require phantom power) that are also connected to affected channels will be supplied with 48V.
Generally, this does not cause problems but we advise checking with the mic manufacturer first before connecting.
Please take care when using ribbon microphones - you can potentially damage vintage, non-active ribbon microphones with phantom power.
