This applies to the Legacy Saffire Interfaces

The ADAT and S/PDIF digital inputs need to be turned on in SaffireControl PRO before their input mix pages can be accessed.

This can be done by hitting the “Enable” button in the sync section of Saffire control, or by loading a preset session that has the digital inputs enabled.
