My product's serial number is not being recognised upon registration.

When registering your Focusrite product, you will be asked to enter the product's serial number. This can be found on the box and on the underside of the device itself. 

  • First Generation Scarlett serial numbers will start with the letter S, T, or U
  • Second Generation Scarlett serial numbers will start with the letter V or W
  • Clarett Thunderbolt serial numbers will start with the letter U
  • Clarett USB serial numbers will start with the letter X
  • Saffire serial numbers will start with the letter S or P (with the exception of the Liquid Saffire 56 which starts with L)
  • Red interface serial numbers will start with the letter V, W, or X
  • RedNet product serial numbers will start with the letter R, S, T, U, V, W, or X

The serial number is not to be confused with the product bundle code which is in the format XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX

 

We have also become aware that a small number of 2nd Generation Scarlett's and RedNet units have a letter 'R' placed in the middle of the serial number. If this is the case for you, please enter the serial number without the 'R' and you will find the serial number is accepted by our registration system.
